The World Bank is an international financial institution founded in July 1944 that provides loans and grants to the governments of low- and middle-income countries for the purpose of pursuing capital projects. With 189 member countries, the World Bank Group is a unique global partnership fighting poverty worldwide through sustainable solutions.
Together, IBRD and IDA form the World Bank, which provides financing, policy advice, and technical assistance to governments of developing countries. IDA focuses on the world’s poorest countries, while IBRD assists middle-income and creditworthy poorer countries.
The World Bank has supported a number of projects in Africa over the years and 2ML Consulting has been part of these interventions. Funded projects include:
