Water.Org believes in water and that access to water turns poverty into possibility.

Water.org is an international non-profit organization founded on 2009 that helps people living in poverty get access to safe water and improved sanitation through affordable financing. This organization was founded by Matt Damon and Gary White.

It believes water is the best investment the world can make to improve health, empower women, enable access to education, increase family income and change lives. Yet, 771 million people lack access to safe water. It is working to change this as a global non-profit organization working to bring water and sanitation to the world.

For millions of women, children, and communities, access to safe water can turn problems into potential — unlocking education, economic opportunity and improved health.

Water.org supports a number of interventions in Africa and 2ML Consulting has been part of their interventions. It has partnered with 2ML to do research on  East Africa Utility Market Assessment in Kenya and Tanzania. The research is geared towards facilitation of  investment into the construction / rehabilitation of infrastructure, improve services and expand their overall coverage areas, reach a greater percentage of BOP households, optimize water management, and/or improve climate change resiliency.
